Follow on Google News | The 2nd Annual NYC Twestival Raises Nearly $20,000 For Concern WorldwideThe NYC Twestival was one of many Twestivals held around the world where social media users gathered offline to raise money to support Concern Worldwide.
By: NYC Twestival With musical performances by Brooklyn-based hip hop/rock band Shinobi Ninja and DJs Mister Disco and Axis Powers, drinks courtesy of headline sponsor PepsiCo, photography by Mo Pitz and renowned origami artist Sok Song designing giant origami Twitter birds for the raffle, guests had plenty to “tweet” about. The event hosted over 350 attendees and raised over $19,000 for Concern Worldwide, placing New York City in the top five cities that participated in the global Twestival event. Concern Worldwide also received a $100,000 national challenge grant from the Entrepreneurs Foundation/Austin Ventures. The group will match every dollar raised by Twestival Global, up to $100K.
