SAVE THE DATE:  EMBALLAGE, THE INTERNATIONAL PACKAGING EXHIBITION, TO BE HELD IN PARIS FROM NOVEMBER 22 TO 25, 2010

This fall, the International Packaging Exhibition, EMBALLAGE, will come back to Paris from November 22 to 25, 2010. For this 39th edition, EMBALLAGE 2010 will gather all of the international players in the packaging industry for this year's focus on smart packaging - what's innovative and sustainable in the industry. Every sector (food and beverages, health, luxury, industrial goods, etc.) will become a forum where professionals can meet and discuss leading issues in their sector. The trend towards sustainable development, which includes eco-design, the search for new materials, recycling, etc., is now more than ever a core concern to those in packaging. This year, the show will feature its traditional exhibition halls, a symposium on packaging hot topics, a collaborative area for designers, and discussions on industry trends and new technology.

EMBALLAGE in Paris
Paris, the leading tourist destination worldwide, is a major, world-renowned cultural center: museums, art exhibitions, conferences, shows, department stores and sports events, and more. Visiting EMBALLAGE also represents an opportunity to (re)discover Paris, its neighborhoods and its history.

An exhibition boasting a wealth of new products with "Pack Innovation"
In 2010, you will discover the latest trends, the new materials to be used in tomorrow’s packaging, designed by exhibitors and staged within a fully dedicated area, “Pack Innovation”. Visitors will be able to take in the decidedly long-term perspective favored by exhibitors on the basis of new key issues: environmental friendliness, ease of use, production costs reduction, originality and safety.

An exhibition in tune with environmental expectations: "Emballage in Green"
Packaging businesses and professionals are showing their involvement and commitment in this field. EMBALLAGE 2010 will devote four days to sustainable development with “Emballage in Green”: a TV set featuring dialogue and debates with celebrities and sector industrialists, a visit itinerary, an exhibition about packaging after-life and more.

An exhibition to understand trends with "Pack Designers"
According to results from the 2009 Packaging Observatory, 38% of packaging purchasers and 47% of manufacturers consider packaging design to be a major avenue for development. In 2010, at the center of Hall 6, EMBALLAGE will set up a convivial area, especially devoted to design professionals in order for them to discover the new trends and meet agencies and designers. This will be an exceptional showcase servicing international creation.

An exhibition for discussion with "Pack Vision"
EMBALLAGE will provide a comprehensive program of conferences: high-level speakers and sector professionals will be meeting there to present their views about new technology, to debate about sustainable development issues or about regulations, or to share their experience.

Figures from 2008:
- 1,500 exhibitors, including 44% foreign
- 101,000 visitors, including 36% foreign
- 400 journalists, including 50% foreign
