St. Louis, MO – The Nonprofit Management & Leadership Program of the University of Missouri–St. Louis announces its 10th Annual Fundraising Institute that will take place June 7–11. This workshop has trained hundreds of development officers, staff and volunteers from around the region and across the state, and provides the most up-to-date information on current fundraising practices and ideas.
The program features seven courses with Fundraising 101 kicking off the program June 7, 9 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Whether new to development and fundraising or needing to go back to the basics, this course will help participants understand and implement the basic principles behind successful fundraising.
The second course, Creating and Managing an Annual Development Fund, is also June 7, 1:00–4:00 p.m. This participatory session will discuss how to set goals and what types of funding can be included in your annual giving program, as well as plan implementation and evaluation.
Effective Grant Prospecting, June 8, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., examines the most effective techniques and resources to uncover the right funding opportunities for organizations. Participants will also learn how to prospect for individual and corporate funders and discover additional donation growth potential.
Attendees will learn the tools and techniques to make their grants more gainful with Successful Grant Writing, June 9, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. This fast-paced class will explore current trends so proposals have a winning advantage in the increasingly competitive private-sector market.
The fifth course, Winning Federal Grant Proposals, is June 10, 9 a.m.–4:00 p.m. This session will help those considering federal grant programs understand research and writing tools, regulations and procedures that smooth the way to successful grant proposals and effective grants management.
Selecting Fundraising Software Programs, June 11, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., shows that effective choice and use of fundraising and data management software are essential tools for an organization’
The last course of the institute, Technological Tools for Marketing Your Nonprofit, is June 11, 1:00–4:00 p.m. In this class, participants will learn how to use the Internet to achieve their fundraising goals and market their organizations without busting the budget or causing too much stress.
