Amanda Wakeley Autumn Winter 2010 Fashion Show
Amanda Wakeley commented on her new collection for the coming Autumn/Winter season saying: “This season is more about a feeling… how women want to feel in their clothes now…wrapped, draped, supported in cocooning shapes…being able to dress with ease and feel luxurious. These are investment pieces that will stand the test of time”. The colours are tone on tone greys, midnight, smoke and powder.
Capturing visual impact from J.W. Waterhouse and the use of richly coloured and seductive canvases..a palette of charcoals to pebbles, contrasted with rich pansy, ruby, kimono, powder, nude and midnight.
Having evolved the collection from S/S10, this season is more about a feeling…. how women want to feel in their clothes now….wrapped, draped, supported in cocooning shapes….being able to dress with ease and feel luxurious for both day and evening. The fashion collection is a contrast of structured looser shapes mixed with contouring seamed structure and draped layers. These are investment pieces that stand the test of time.
Also, the much celebrated collaboration between Amanda Wakeley and Danish shoe designer Camilla Skovgaard, which brought us the Zebra/Chocolate Brown Spring Summer shoe continues for the Autumn/Winter season with a fabulous new designer ankle boot. Amanda has commented on the collaboration with Camilla Skovgaard: “This season I am thrilled to be collaborating with Danish shoe designer Camilla Skovgaard – with whom I have created a killer summer shoe in zebra or chocolate brown. This is truly a shoe for women designed by a woman – supremely sexy but utterly comfortable and wearable. I know that I for one will be living in these shoes this summer!”
