March 26, 2010 - PRLog -- New Delhi, India - - The IPC, the international curriculum for preschools around the world has this week announced that it has been cooperating with its prospective members in India in order to provide a customised curriculum that meets the cultural and educational expectations of the Indian education system.

The curriculum devised by a committee of highly qualified early learning academics and practitioners including a curriculum drafter with experience in drafting the International Baccalaureate and Ministerial drafting offers an international theme that is beneficial to the education of young children in an increasingly transnational global landscape.  Despite offering a highly thematic approach to internationalism and a second or third language, the IPC also claims to push the boundaries with regards to the standard of education, citing several academic journals and claims that children are capable of absorbing a higher standard of education that goes over and above traditional educational systems.   As an outcome based curriculum, the IPC sets learning objectives for all students which are easily assessed by teachers and cross referenced with more than six fields of education including numeracy, literacy, phonics, motor development, emotional development and language.   The language unit enables teachers to explore a second language of their choice.  The IPC has a number of free resources in French and Japanese and is working with members to broaden this to roughly 10 languages by the end of the year.

To set itself apart from existing curricula, the IPC also offers a wide range of consulting services which are included in the standard membership fee.  For example, members have access to a range of expert written practical guides which range from special educational needs teaching to finance handbooks for management.   At present there are a little under 20 practical guides prepared by accountants, lawyers, insurance experts and educational consultants.   The IPC also offers teacher support throughout the duration of the membership.

Recognising the need for an international based curriculum that encompasses the diverse culture and educational expectations of India, the IPC has confirmed that it has also restructured its pricing for schools in India and hopes that its more affordable package will be encourage more preschools to apply for prospective membership.
