(March 26, 2010) When McDonald’s 77 Palm Beach-Treasure Coast restaurants opened their doors March 9 for a free FCAT test day breakfast, more than 22,000 students got a good start to the day. In all, more than 191,000 students visited McDonald’s 837 Florida restaurants to enjoy the FCAT breakfast of an Egg McMuffin®, Apple Dippers and a low fat milk or small orange juice on the first day of testing.

Conrado was joined in the effort by local McDonald’s owners including Treasure Coast operators MaryAnn Conrado, Sam and Ann Houston in Sebastian, Akhtar Quiraishi in Fort Pierce, and Carlos Solaranzo in Martin and St. Lucie. In Palm Beach County, participating owners included Paul Raffa, Roger Upchurch and Phil Grey in South County; Mark Watson, Brent Bohn and Jason Cornet in the Wellington and Central Palm Beach County area, Michele Heisner in the West Palm Beach area, Ricky Wade in North County, and Steve Nisbet Sr. and Jr. in Belle Glade.
McDonald’s provides wholesome, balanced menu options for all of its customers, including its youngest guests. McDonald’s also is a long-time supporter of youth fitness programs including the annual RMHC Kids K and Marathon Mile, the FitKids Triathlon and Ronald McDonald’s Get Moving shows.
