Human Resources Expert Tells CPA's About Today's "Fluid Workforce"

March 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Managing issues related to staffing and support is the topic to be presented to the CPA required Continuing Education program sponsored by the St. Louis Community College. The April Seminar will feature  Victoria Wors, President of Wors Consulting of St. Louis a Human Resources Consulting firm, who will present an overview of the growing use of independent contractors, Professional Employer Organizations (PEO's) and traditional temporary agency use.  Ms. Wors will present to attendees pertenient information regarding the federal regulatory requirements in the use of temporary or contract staffing, as well as the arguments for and against use and situations where use is advised or discouraged.  

The ever growing shift to temporary or "non-employee" status of many workforces has been spurred on by rising costs in health-care, worker compensation liability, rapid changes in mandatory skills that directly impact the bottom line and the looming exodus of "baby boomers' from the main stream work force.  It is estimated that within five (5) years American industry will suffer from a skills shortage.  "Phased in Reitrement" option will be among some of the recommendations to be presented by Wors at the April meeting.
