Conor Guy, Co. Armagh businessman and Managing Director of Envirogreen Recycling was runner up in the recent prestigious Belfast Telegraph Business Awards. The awards which were held in the Ramada Hotel in Belfast received an unprecedented number of entries this year. The quality of submissions for this year’s awards were of a higher standard than previous years. Chair of the Judging Panel, John Simpson stated that “the quality of entries this year demonstrated that businesses in Northern Ireland stand tall in any international comparisons”
The keynote speaker for the awards was Karen Brady Football first Lady and vice chairman of recently acquired West Ham United. Ms Brady took over the reins of Birmingham City Football Club at just 23 years old and transformed the club from the brink of liquidation to a highly successful £25 million pound flotation on the stockmarket in 1997.
Mr. Guy MD of Envirogreen Recycling stated “it was a privilege to be nominated for young businessperson of the year amidst fierce competition from many young business men and women in the province”. In his modest assertion, Mr. Guy ascribed his nomination to the hard work ethic and efficiency of his business tem. He noted “without the determination and efficacy of the staff at Envirogreen Recycling, I would not have even considered for the award, I owe this nomination to them”.
Envirogreen Recycling has increased its’ client portfolio two fold over the last number of months as a direct consequence of the excellent service afforded to customers.
