In August 2009 The PREMiership Football Academy kicked off. Since then we have been through a period of growth, trial and error, acquisition and development.

Acquisition has been the purchase of all the equipment that can be seen out on the training field most days. The equipment is very colourful and attractive and caused some interest when all the bits and pieces arrived. There is a lot more equipment we are planning to acquire but being in Thailand means the equipment we want will have to either be made or imported.

Growth has been the number of players who have benefited from the expertise, skill and experience of the coaches. The coaches have all been trained by the English FA – home of the Premiership, the most popular league in the world. It has been obvious from the teams performances in the games the Academy have arranged how much the players have improved.

Trial and error is all about the best way of constructing the training sessions, organising the tournaments, leagues and games and improving the Academy’s facilities. It’s all been done with the player’s interest first and foremost. We now have some good formulae’s which will help the player’s in the future.  

As part of development, the Academy has been keen to attract players from outside of Prem School and at this moment in time we have around 30 players who have joined us in the past few months which we believe is a good testament to the Academy and proof that we are on the right lines.
