Cruise travel can prove to be a disastrous if you are already obese or going through a weight loss program. Cruise ships are famous for their tasty high calorie food, deserts and it's like a never ending party. Food is just everywhere, but unfortunately about 90% of the food around you is extremely unhealthy and fattening. Most people do not care about what they eat while they travel. Keeping your weight under control and not gaining those extra pounds while not compromising much with the fun is what we are discussing in this release.
1. Always start with Fruits and Salads:
Fruits are filling and they are very good for people who do not want to gain weight. Similarly, Salads with light dressing is also recommended for people who are trying to lose weight. The good part about Cruise travel is that fruits and salads are almost always present with every meal. If semi-fill your belly with these low calorie starters and then eat additional high calorie goodies, your overall calorie intake will still be in control. This will prevent you from gaining weight, and still enjoy your meals.
2. Limit Beverages:
Most beverages are not only high in calories but we tend to eat too much junk along with it. Limit your drinks during your cruise travel and it will immensely help you and also assist towards your weight loss plan.
3. Use stairs and not elevators:
The infrastructure of Cruise ships is spread across multiple floors (decks). Use stairs carefully as many times as possible, this will assist you in getting some exercise while you travel.
Weight loss during cruise travel might look very awkward, but a few days of careful planning can assist you from preventing weeks and possibly months of weight gain misery.
