Global Universal film Group’s CEO, Gary Rasmussen, stated “We are pleased to be working with ID Communications and together we will showcase Corey Haim’s tremendous last performance at the world’s most prestigious film festival, forever solidifying Corey’s well-deserved place in film history.”
“Corey’s role in ‘American Sunset’ would have been a game changer for him; he really shed his ‘child-star’
“Working with Corey on this film was a wonderful experience for me. His performance was impeccable; he was really on his mark. I can see from the outpouring of well-wishers among the fans who grew up with him, that he really touched a lot of people. I had known Corey since he was a young man. Myself, as well as my partners considered him a friend and, quite frankly, we are still in shock and grieving his loss” commented Jackie Giroux, writer and Producer of American Sunset.
"We are also working to secure a theatrical launch for North America very soon and will be presenting the film for its international premiere at the Cannes Film Market. We have also had numerous offers with regards to online and VOD or “special event” presentations, so we are looking at those as well, given the obvious groundswell of public interest” said Mr. Shannon.
