According to Igor Aksyutov (CEO, “ZORG Ukraine,” PhD in Technical Sciences), increase in national gas production can effectively upload Ukrainian gas pipeline network, in context of transference of transit potential of Russian and Asian gas into Nord Stream and South Stream.
“Ukraine has the potential necessary for production of bio-methane (purified to the stage required by GOST for biogas). For instance, in course of last 10 years Germany installed 6 thousands biogas plants with overall capacity of 1,5 milliards m3 of biogas (equivalent to 1 milliard m3 of natural gas), while 10 years prior Germany had neither experience in the field nor companies producing equipment for construction of biogas plants whatsoever,”
Igor Aksyutov is convinced, low-interest credit program is the only pre-requisite for implementation of the project in Ukraine: “Putting Ukraine’s “printing machine” into action for the cause has no danger for Ukrainian economy: mass-construction of biogas reactors leads to increase in demand for construction materials and creates thousands of workplaces.”
