To that end they are excited for the High Point Spring 2010 Market, April 17-22, as they introduce and welcome 3 companies that are interested in doing same, and have been invited to share showroom space at their 400 Mandustry St. location in High Point.
Kat Burki, and Antiques by Zaar originally came to know each other when Kat’s firm searched online for items to use for the dressing room of the Summer 2009 Southampton Show House. (Such featured in April 2010 Traditional Home, pg 96). Both active in online social networking, each company respectively posted blogs about the other, regarding their new relationship, one which was furthered when Antiques by Zaar invited Kat Burki to introduce her line in High Point, with Antiques by Zaar. Thus Kat Burki's custom upholstery line will be represented, as well their exclusive line of decorative pillows. Kat Burki also produces a line of Body and Bath items which will be available as cash and carry items during Market. Kat Burki bases its business out of Southport CT.
Bellascenda is not new to High Point as an exhibitor, having shown previously in the Suites at Market Square. Like Kat Burki, the connection with Antiques by Zaar was initially made online. Since Fall 2009 Bellascenda has been making their line of television and flat panel lift furniture available during the High Point Design Center Designer Wed events, and co hosted a lunch/presentation during the recent Unity in Design Event. Bellascenda bases its business out of McLean, VA and can also be found on TODL, a To The Trade only online Design Library.
And it would be from a designer that attended said event last month that Vanderveer Imports was introduced to Antiques by Zaar, and now rounds out the offerings at 400 Mandustry St, with a line of Chinese ceramic and porcelain reproductions. Items available to purchase during the show, as is the case for antiques carried by Antiques by Zaar. Vanderveer Imports bases its business out of Durham, NC.
It is with great excitement that Antiques by Zaar has opened the doors to these companies, as a venue to introduce their collections to their Trade market in High Point, and add to the draw for this off site showroom….only 3 miles from downtown High Point, and accessible by the free Go Anywhere shuttles, as provided by the High Point Market Authority. (Antiques by Zaar also available to offer transport.)
They are all thrilled for this collaboration and look forward to showing their collections to all during Market and following on 2nd Wednesday Events as part of the High Point Design Center, and otherwise by appointment.
