March 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Living up to its name, the online show “Or Bust” (www.Or-Bust.com) has uploaded its 100th episode this week.  That’s 100 episodes, including two full seasons, weekly on-site news reports, and the video-audiobook “On Giants” – All in less than one year!  Offering a new story from across America every three days, Or Bust started in Oregon, finished season two in Virginia, and is now readying for its third season throughout the south.

“When we started, the goal was to offer immediate stories from the road.” explains Or Bust creator Brad Lockwood. “A new episode every three days was our very aggressive concept, but the reality of filming, editing, and uploading so much content has been as challenging as traveling the nearly 20,000 miles and documenting more than half of America.”

History and entertainment have been the focus of Or Bust.  Season one started in Oregon last April, then Or Bust had to get to New York City for its 400th birthday by September to spend time near Woodstock until wintering in Williamsburg, Virginia.  “Beginning season one where Lewis & Clark ended their Corps of Discovery on the dreary shores of the Pacific Ocean of Oregon and Washington State, we followed their path in reverse, ending season two only a few miles from Jamestown, the first permanent British settlement in America.” details Lockwood, “We have seen and shown many sides and stories of America, and the history truly echoes today, given the challenges our country now faces.”

The result is two full seasons as well as Lockwood’s video-audiobook “On Giants: Mounds, Monsters, Myth & Man” – totaling 100 10-minute uploads (Or Bust uses YouTube.com for easy uploads and worldwide viewing) offering nearly 17 hours of content for free viewing online at www.Or-Bust.com.

The term “Or Bust” comes from pioneers and homesteaders making their way to the Oregon Territory in the 1800s, and the obstacles they faced weren’t lost on the contemporary version of Or Bust.  Their RV’s roof leaked badly at Cape Disappointment, Washington (a place aptly named by Lewis & Clark after seeing no trading ships to take word back that their Corps of Discovery had succeeded); personnel problems became evident, and Lockwood suddenly had to do the entire show – the filming, writing, and editing – all on his own; then Or Bust’s mascot Stu (Lockwood’s black lab) injured his knee, requiring surgery and costing the project a month while Stu recovered.

Or Bust was created and underwritten by Brad Lockwood, award-winning author of seven books (Sellout, Wink, and Tested XX are a few of his award-winning titles) and a syndicated columnist (available for reading at www.tsweekly.com/news/upfront); his weekly column has become the weekly segment “News! Or Bust…” from different locations, while his treatise “On Giants: Mounds, Monsters, Myth & Man” is now being broadcast as a video-audiobook.

“Or Bust can do anything.  We’ve covered Lewis & Clark, an important water rights agreement in Oregon, the Tea Party movement, the Sisters Rodeo and a peanut parade, Hudson artists, Ground Zero, the deathbeds of U.S. Grant and Stonewall Jackson, Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg, and now, a full history of tall-tales.” lists Lockwood, “Season three will be a southern swing.  Much sun and fun, I hope.  But, after a year of hard work and many challenges, who knows what we’ll find along the way.”
