I’m an artist at heart. I take every opportunity that I see and do what I love the most: paint. I’ve been painting ever since I was a child and nature has always been a constant inspiration and subject. Yes, I’ve always loved art and I love the environment. Finding one thing that incorporates both is surreal.

I’m also a big supporter of the ban against plastic bags[http://www.smartbag.com.au/]. I agree that it poses too much threat on the environment and we should cut back, if not totally eliminate, the use of them. Who needs all those plastic shopping bags when we can use eco friendly bags that provide the same functionality?

It came upon one summer day when I realized that I can actually combine art and being an environmentalist. I can design eco friendly bags!

There are a lot of green bags created with strong and durable materials that also provide a great base for painting. Calico bags are one of them. Calico bags pose no threat to the environment because they are produced using organic materials with no chemicals that can hurt nature. They are also beautiful to carry as well. Calico tote bags[http://www.smartbag.com.au/] are a hit with ladies nowadays. So I got a calico bag and took out my painting tools.

The end result was great and I’ve been using it as a shopping bag for quite some time now. People love it and they keep asking where I got it. When people are interested, you know you’ve created something special.
