Lifeway College, who run a highly acclaimed Diploma in 3D animation, will be on site at three of the Armageddon expos to be held throughout New Zealand.
Armageddon is the ultimate fantasy and gaming event. Held in Auckland since 1995, Wellington since 2001 and Christchurch/
At the event, Lifeway College will be holding demonstrations in Maya, a powerful, industry-standard, 3D program with limitless potential in the realm of visual creativity. Maya is the primary program used by every major visual effects/animation studio, including the likes of Weta, Dreamworks, ILM, Pixar and Disney to name but a few. These Studios have harnessed the power of Maya to create astonishing computer generated imagery seen in an endless list of blockbuster films spanning the last several decades. Films ranging from The Matrix and the Lord of the Rings, through to more recent films such as Star Trek, Transformers 1 and 2, and Avatar.
Lifeway College will also be accepting enrolments for their July course at the event. “Lifeway is the premier 3D animation training provider. We have graduates in major studios in New Zealand, including Weta Digital, Weta Productions and Huhu studios - in particular Huhu Studios is a key partner as they are located on campus, and mere metres away from our animation facilities. To study with Lifeway College in this field is to be positioned at a center of invaluable opportunities relating to the animation and visual-effects industry.”- Craig Hansen, Principal of Lifeway College.
