SAN FRANCISCO—The Trium Group, the boutique management consulting firm that specializes in organizational transformation and strategy execution, announced that it has partnered with the marketing leadership of one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies to execute a transformation of its corporate marketing function.
Working closely with the company’s top marketing leaders, Trium will crystallize the function’s vision for the future, map it to the company’s overall strategy, create clarity and alignment across the organization, and develop a concrete operational roadmap for achieving the vision.
For purposes of confidentiality, Trium at this time will not disclose the client’s name nor details that would identify it.
“Time and again, we see organizations that need to fundamentally adjust their activities, practices, and capabilities in order to support radical changes in the markets they serve,” said Andrew Blum, Trium Founder and Managing Partner. “This global leader is way ahead of the curve in acting to enable and support the more customer-centric focus it needs in order to sustain competitive advantage.”
Blum added, “This is a world-class organization that changes and saves lives every day. We look forward to working with its leaders to implement significant, multi-dimensional changes that will play a crucial role in helping it to be a critical force in the company’s overall evolution.”
Like other large pharmaceutical companies, this organization is challenged by a changing landscape in which physicians are no longer its sole customers, evolving regulations and health practices around the world, and rising costs of developing new blockbuster drugs. It is also expecting large profit losses as individual best-selling drugs lose their patent protection.
Trium Principal Shani Harmon will lead the engagement with a close-knit team of Trium consultants.
“I am especially excited about this engagement because it gives Trium a great platform for creating the kind of positive change that is central to our mission,” said Harmon.
