At a recent touring of the hard rock casinos in Tampa, representatives from Knight Investments LLC toured a facility that was one of the first indian casinos to be built by the Miccouskee Indians cousin's the Seminoles.
During the Knight delegation's visit, efforts were put to help realize funding for a new project under the direction of a senior tribal member of the Miccouskee Indians.
"The reason for our visit was to envision the direction that the tribe might take in constructing a casino facility. It was also necessary for us to develop mutual relationships, and all individuals feel comfortable with moving forward. It is something that we cherish here at Knight, and more importantly within the Republic of Aquitaine." said the Baron of the 1st Aquitinian Knights.
The path traveled by the Miccosukee reveals a people intent on finding their own way. A people who possess the cultural resources and flexibility (and the personal sense) of independence with determination to continue to be self-sufficient. The new project engaged by Mr. Lee Tiger represents just that.
"We feel that the interests of the tribe are important to us, and we just want to help facilitate that." said a Senior Executive Director with Knight Investments LLC.
Membership in the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida is open to Indians who have Miccosukee mothers and are not enrolled in any other Tribe. The Miccosukee Service Area is composed of Tribal members and their families, independent Miccosukee, Seminoles and other Indian families residing along the Tamiami Trail from Miami to Naples.
Presently, the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida has three reservation areas in the State of Florida: Tamiami Trail, Alligator Alley and Krome Avenue.
Officials from Knight Investments LLC have stated that mutual interests have been achieved and are willing to move forward with the estimated 900 million USD project.
