PRLog (Press Release) - Mar 23, 2010 -
New York, NY, March 23, 2010 – cNoteART is pleased to announce that Erik Rosen will be speaking at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY about the opportunities and challenges of creating art from music in June 2010.

The title of the discussion is, “Seeing Music During a Stem Cell Transplant: A Case Study in Creating and Marketing Art from Synesthesia.”

The description of the lecture: “What happens when you lock a lawyer in a hospital room, obliterate his immune system and pump him full of opiates?  He sees music, of course.  This is an example of a sensory misfire known as synesthesia.  Erik will explore what music looks like and the process and entrepreneurial challenges of sharing that vision with others.  This will lead to a group discussion, including questions and answers.”

Examples of musical images, or “cNOTEs,” that may be discussed are Elvis Presley’s “Heartbreak Hotel,” Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World,” U2’s “One,” George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue,” The Beatles’ “Hey Jude,” Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song” and Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.”
