This Food ~ ART ~ Music filled NIGHT is the THE evening when the Lasting Mammories (breast castings) will finally be unveiled to the community after 6 months in the making.
The fund-rasier will be held at the Cairo Club (Pyramid Holistic Wellness Center ~ 802 775-8080), 120 Merchants Row, Rutland, VT.
Ms. Jones will perform two shows, one at 5:30 pm and another at 7:30 pm. Admission is $15 per person and includes the unveiling of the Lasting Mammories breast casting project which features 18 models, 18 artists and 18 business sponsors from around the state, in addition to, several beautiful concrete breast castings of Leicester artist, Chris Russ.
The castings will be for sale through a silent auction for the rest of the month of April and awarded on May 2, 2010 - at the 2010 For the Love of Tea & Re-Fashion Show. Need not be present to win.
The event is a fundraiser for the Pink Ribbon Diva Foundation (501-C3 pending). The Pink Ribbon Diva Foundation doesn't donate money to research organizations, on purpose. "Through what the PRDF does, hands-on, and at the grassroots level, I meet women (and men) who are dealing with cancer NOW, and a cure or finding research to prevent it is too late for them. So, what we want to do is meet the needs they have right now, after being diagnosed with breast cancer," state Traci Pena, Foundation Founder.
In keeping with the evening’s theme of the exhibit & show, Kacey will primarily be performing her music from Nipples to the Wind, the soundtrack that she wrote for a Dallas, Texas, two-woman play with 14 characters and a million laughs.
However, Kacey travels & performs solo (guitar & vocal) and mostly does other original material. She’s a former MCA recording artist, a former Curb Records artist, and now records for her own nationally distributed record label, IGO Records. She’s been a guest on Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion" radio show (NPR) several times. Her NEW single, which is the title track of my latest CD, "Donald Trump's Hair" was released nationally to radio on February 1st.
