Ahmedabad, March , 2010: SEER AKADEMI, an academic initiative of the Worldwide University Program of Synopsys Inc (NasdaqGS: SNPS), a world leader in software and IP for semiconductor design, verification and manufacturing, today signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ganpat University to set-up 1st Regional Center of Excellence in “VLSI and Embedded System” in Ahmedabad. SEER AKADEMI provides industry-leading EDA tools and resources for teaching and academic research based on the curriculum of the Synopsys Worldwide University Program in India.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Srikanth Jadcherla, CEO – SEER AKADEMI (India) and Mr. Anand Patel, President – Ganpat University (Ahmedabad). As part of the understanding both parties will collaborate to deploy Synopsys’ academic curriculum at JNTU Hyderabad and work together to develop new programs in alternate energy and electronics’
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Srikanth Jadcherla said, “We are happy at the proactive step taken by Ganpat University in introducing our curriculum. This extended University program by Seer Akademi will offer various services to students of the University in addition to the vast amount of courseware available.”
The planned focus of the Programme is on training highly qualified specialists for India in the field of very large scale integration (VLSI) design and electronics’
Over the years, Synopsys has invested in 30+ courses in Micro-electronics covering all aspects of electronics’

Colleges adopting the Synopsys University Program through Seer Akademi can avail:
1. Synopsys Certification in VLSI / Embedded Systems (3rd / 4th year B.Tech students)
