Paris, 23 March 2010
HealthWorks France (trading as MedActiv) announced today that it would be opening a new, wholly owned sales division to service the needs of the growing diabetes market in the United Kingdom. MedActiv will have two main goals. First, it will serve the growing number of diabetes customers in the UK by providing local support and products. Second, it will continue developing new solutions for the transport of other heat-sensitive medications such as growth hormones or medications for poly arthritis to meet the needs of MedActiv’s continued expansion in these fields.
The new division, which officially opens on April 2, 2010, will distribute all the MedActiv products including the Medifridge, the world’s smallest fridge for the transport and storage of heat sensitive medication. The Medifridge was developed in 2004 as a solution for people who needed to travel with their heat-sensitive medication in perfect safety. Winner of a number of awards, it has been recognized as one of the most useful tools in disease management today, as it allows user to take responsibility for their health by ensuring that their medication is always at exactly the right temperature, any time and anywhere.
By basing the core of its business not only on sales but also on service, MedActiv is helping people by empowering them to manage their diseases and to take responsibility for their health. Through this innovative approach, MedActiv has now been recognized throughout the medical industry as a shaping force in the world of diabetes and poly arthritis.
The MedActiv products will be distributed through their online platform at http://www.medactiv.co.uk
Headquartered in Paris, MedActiv is supported by offices in London and New Zealand. The UK enterprise will be the third site for the growing enterprise.
