Volunteers can assist by doing the following tasks:
The volunteer will be expected to simply be a part of the team and make friends with the girls. Volunteers will accompany the girls during their daily schedule and work in casual English lessons for example while helping in the kitchen. Volunteers may be required to assist the girls with their homework; to supplement their studies by teaching extra math, etc.; to teach the girls study skills; and to help them effectively use the El Buen Pastor library.
Other tasks that you may be requested to preform outside of your core duties:
The home has a program in place to teach the girls knitting, sewing, painting, art, dance, and pottery. Volunteers could also promote and help sell handmade products made by the girls to help support the cost of living at the home.
