Rodin4D is a Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing solution for the orthopaedics profession: it allows ortho-prosthetists to design and make orthosis and prosthesis using a 3D scanner, digital rectification software and a machine tool (milling machine or robot).
Created in 2009, Disano is managed by Martin Halemba, a Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist (CPO). The team is currently composed of Nicole Hieber and Silke Halemba in the Administration Department, Holger Schüttelhöfer, Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist (CPO), and Dietmar Schulz in the Sales Department.
Disano now becomes a Central Production Centre and distributor for the Rodin4D CAD/CAM system. As a distributor, Disano will offer all or part of the Rodin4D solution for rental or for purchase, whether it be the Rodin4D scanner, the Rodin4D CAD/CAM rectification software, a milling machine or a robot. As a Central Production Centre, Disano will be able to offer milling services to clients who take advantage of a “rental” package or completely manufacture orthotics and prosthetic devices starting from measurements or 3D files.
“With the arrival of Disano, we enhance our leadership in the orthopaedic CAD/CAM market since they become our 7th Central Production Centre in Europe” announced Luc Boronat, General Manager of Rodin4D.
The cooperation between Disano and Rodin4D comes at the right time since two of the largest World Congresses of Orthopaedics will be held simultaneously from 10th – 15th May, 2010 at Leipzig in Germany.
