Black Mold Removal Home Remedy

There are steps you can take to get rid of mold in your home, including the insidious black mold.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar 22, 2010 -
Always wear gloves when dealing with home remedy mold removal techniques.  Don’t allow the mold to come into contact with your skin in any way.  Utilize protective clothing such as long pants and long sleeves in order to protect your skin.  Also, you need to wear protective eye-wear, and respiratory protection.  The environmental protection agency recommends using an N-95 facemask with respirator which you can probably find in your local hardware store.  These masks may appear as a typical paper dust mask with an attachment for filtering out mold, or you may see them as rubber types with similar appearance.  Proper eye protection is also in order, to avoid spores landing directly on the surface of your eyes.  Don’t just wear sunglasses- wear eye goggles.  Goggles should completely seal against your face, stopping any spore particles before they get to your eyes.  It is important that the goggles have no ventilation holes.
Getting rid of mold is simple enough once you have taken the proper precautions for your own safety.  You can use a simple water and detergent solution, or you can use a solution of 1 cup of bleach per gallon of water.  Scrub until the mold is gone completely and you may need to let the solution sit for a bit to work on the mold.  Be sure to rinse the mold away completely, and be aware that sometimes you may not be able to get rid of discoloration or other damage that has occurred.  Any porous surfaces will need to be completely removed and replaced, as mold cannot be completely removed from these types of materials (think ceiling tiles, carpet, etc.).
You must be certain that your black mold removal home remedy in itself dries thoroughly, so as to avoid any re-bloom of the toxic bacterium.  There should be no visible mold when you are finished, and there should be no moisture in the area.  If there is moisture, the mold will find its place yet again.  If you have properly cleaned and protected the area from moisture, then you should be safe for the long-term.  Re-visit the area periodically to ensure there is no moisture, nor mold, present.  Also, there should be no musty or moldy odors.  If there are, you may have another area in your home that needs mold removal remedy.
