The Crossroads, of Garwood, is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its inaugural Beatles Jam, on Thursday, April 1st from 8:00-12:00 PM. The Beatles Jam is a unique open mic night where the songs of the Beatles will be played.
The Beatles are one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed bands in the history of popular music, selling over a billion records internationally The Beatles released more than 40 different singles, albums, and EPs that reached number one, earning more number one albums (15) than any other group.
The Crossroads, is the premier place for great food, great drink, great conversations and entertainment. It has become Union County’s most distinguished entertainment emporium. The Crossroads has a long history of hosting different musical events every month and the owner Lee Frankel believes that The Beatles Jam will fit nicely into its monthly entertainment schedule. “We are excited about hosting The Beatles Jam. We do a lot of different nights of music, but we have never done a themed open mic night like The Beatles Jam. So this will be a little different kind of event for us to host” said The Crossroads owner. “Because Beatles music is universal for all ages and we envision this to be a popular night for our patrons.”
Musicians or bands who sign up to play will have 4-5 songs of performance time. Each player or group who perform will receive a video and audio recording as well as still pictures of their performance for use on their individual websites, MySpace and Facebook pages. The last 45 minutes of the evening will be dedicated to a Group Beatles Jam for anyone to participate.
Performers are asked to bring just their instruments. All amps, microphones, cables and sound equipment will be supplied by the promoter, Cartier Productions, who is promoting and producing the event for The Crossroads. Drums & drummer will be supplied.
Participants are asked to use The ZT Amplifier’s 200 Watt Lunchbox Combo Amps The Official Amp of The Beatles Jam. All other Sound and PA systems will be provided. If you are a drummer or your band has a drummer, please contact the promoter Vince Cartier, to make arrangements for your kit.
