The 30 Day Challenge with Joanne Musa

I knew that it was time to make a change. That’s one of the reasons that I came here in the first place. I wasn’t completely happy with myself, my physical shape, my relationships, my business, and the success that I have achieved in life.

March 20, 2010 - PRLog -- I recently came back from Orlando Florida where I attended Tony Robbins Unleash the Power Within Seminar. What an Experience! I would recommend it to anyone who is not afraid to try something new and step out of their comfort zone. The first night of the conference we walked on fire! That’s right – we walked across burning coals, but that was not the most challenging part, nor the part of the conference that stretched me the most. On the first day we prepared for the firewalk by getting into our peak state.

We spent the first couple of days on emotions and relationships. We learned about human needs and why we act the way we do. We learned about the connection between our physiology and our mood or state, and how motion effects emotion.
The second day we learned about Neuro Associative Conditioning and how to achieve lasting change. We learned not only how we could meet our goals, but how to find out what it is that we are really passionate about. And then we decided on 2 goals to focus on and commit to and we resolved to achieve them.

On the third day of the seminar Tony took everyone through what he calls the Dickens Process. It’s a guided visualization where you get rid of your limiting beliefs about yourself and replace them with empowering beliefs. That was very powerful, and really requires a stretch out of your comfort zone. We learned about the 7 areas that everyone needs to grow in in order to have an extraordinary life, and the three things that we need to grow in each of these areas.

The forth day was spent on just one of these areas – our physical body. I thought that I ate pretty good and took pretty good care of myself, until I went to this seminar. Some things I was doing right, like taking dietary supplements, exercising, using biodegradable household products, and not smoking for instance. I found out that I wasn’t doing enough if I want to stay healthy, and that’s why I suffer from lack of energy and sometimes a lack of focus. Both Tony and Joseph (who hosted part of the seminar for Tony) are in excellent shape and have loads of energy, so they must be doing something right. And I had known some of the principals that they were talking about for years but I had either forgot about them or had ignored them for the last 10 years of my life.

I knew that it was time to make a change. That’s one of the reasons that I came here in the first place. I wasn’t completely happy with myself, my physical shape, my relationships, my business, and the success that I have achieved in life. Everything was OK, but I knew that it could be better, that I could have an extraordinary life and have all the things that I desire, plus better relationships, more health and vitality and more success. So I committed to 2 things at this seminar.

First I committed to eating healthier and exercising regularly, but even beyond that I committed to take a 30 day Challenge to apply the principals that I learned at Unleash the Power Within, so that I could see if they really work. Not only do I want more energy, but I want to see if applying these principals will allow me to compete in weightlifting on the same level I did over 5 years ago when I won a World Master Championship and competed at National competitions along side women half my age. Now that I’m over 50, I’m looking for ways to reverse or at least stall the aging process.

I invite you to find out more about the 30 day Challenge on my new blog at www.FabulouslyFitAfter50.com. I’ll be reporting my progress and let you know what has worked for me, not only to stay fit and healthy, but to remain a competitive athlete. Follow my progress and see what works and what doesn’t, and maybe you’ll discover some strategies that you can use to maintain your competitive edge, to look and feel younger, or to have more health and vitality. Join me on my new blog at www.FabulouslyFitAfter50.com.
