In the last week I have heard so many conservative national news anchors and commentators talking about “standing up for what is right.” I say unequivocally “yes we should.” But then I ask myself, “What happens to those who do take a stand? If they get attacked, persecuted, fired, humiliated, etc. who has their back? Who holds up those who are knocked down… for taking a stand?” There are not many martyr’s out there and if that is what it takes to “stand up for what is right,” I say unequivocally “no”.

My husband is one of those men who has been willing to take that stand for what is right. He has been a teacher for over 20 years and has spoken openly of the corruption and mismanagement of America’s school system. He ran for U.S. Congress, twice, and in every speech he gave spoke of the corruption; he has written letters to the editor several times speaking of the problems; he has even spoken to his supervisors on many occasions about it. What has it done for him? For the last three or four years he has been under constant harassment (if you want the full details go to my Facebook page “help my husband, Jim Blockey, from the corrupt school district”, it has the complete details of what has been happening to him… and my husband keeps accurate and specific details).
Jim was suspended 14 months ago and on Friday March 12, 2010 was terminated for immorality and dishonesty… two things my husband is not. Was it a coincidence that this was the week his book “Teachers…
The school system is trying to take his livelihood away, his pension away and any opportunity for him to start any kind of other career… who wants to hire anyone that was fired because he was immoral with students and dishonest? They are also trying to send a message to anyone else that cares to stand up for what is right… This is what happens to any of you that go against what the WE (school system) say.
I guess what I am saying is, my husband is exactly what you conservative national personalities are asking for… so what are you going to do to help hold him up? I do not want my husband (and our family) to be martyrs and neither should you. I want him to be an example of what we need to be in America… Conservative’
