With the growing demand for healthy and organic foods, many consumers are looking for healthier choices when it comes to household products. Neem Oil fits that bill. Neem is a vegetable oil is pressed from the fruits and seeds of the neem tree. The oil is a natural insecticide and insect repellant. Though generally not used for cooking it has been taken orally on the Indian Subcontinent for centuries.

Some scientists (reference needed) claim that the oil imitates certain hormones, causing insects to not feed or breed normally. For instance, if the oil is applied to human skin mosquitoes will be convinced that the host is not edible or common household cockroaches will not be able to produce offspring, thus if you keep new roaches from coming in the present ones will die off. Still neem oil won’t harm pets or humans. In factthere is evidence that neem oil is effective in fighting Eczema, Psoriasis and fungal infections.
