John Catelli, the man who was the inspiration for the book, will accompany Westbrook. John’s personal accounts of life in San Francisco during the 1960’s and his connection to Alcatraz are captivating.
Fascinated with Alcatraz since the age of fifteen, Westbrook has done extensive research learning the history of Alcatraz as well as life in San Francisco during the 1960’s. “I believe fate was the driving force behind this book. About the Author
Tina Westbrook became fascinated with Alcatraz at the age of fifteen after watching Escape from Alcatraz which starred Clint Eastwood. Through the years she has done extensive research, learning the history of Alcatraz as well as life in San Francisco during the 1960s.Tina Westbrook was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1965. She moved to Birmingham Alabama in 1983, where she currently lives with her husband David and their family.
