Get ready to spring into spring with a yoga class focusing on hip opening poses.
Yoga Del Sol Studio in Lemitar is hosting guest instructor Erin Hansbrough for an afternoon workshop specializing in hip opening yoga poses.
Hip-openers are a category of yoga poses which are highly effective for calming and settling the nervous system, providing therapeutic support to the lower back and knees, and creating ease of movement. The workshop will also include pranayama (breath work) and meditation.
The class runs from 1-4 p.m., Saturday April 17, at Yoga Del Sol, 11 Chambon Road in Lemitar. The cost is $35. Interested parties can register or get more information by contacting studio owner Marisa Wolfe at yogadelsolstudio@

She exhibits patience in encouraging people to try new poses and helps students find new depths in more familiar poses. I also appreciated Erin’s efforts to emphasize how yoga occurs not just on the mat but rather pervades life.”
