World Water Day 2010 - Clean & Quality Water for People

March 19, 2010 - PRLog -- In the occasion of World Water Day 2010, the Word for World Organization (WFWO), UN NGO IRENE Western Europe and its partners jointly organized a roundtable to be held on 22 March 2010 in Genova (Italy) to observe and promote the World Water Day 2010 to the theme Water Quality. It is within this context and in support of the Johannesburg Commitment to the "Clean Water for People" initiative - a partnership to improve sustainable management of fresh water resources and accelerate and expand international efforts to achieve the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) of cutting in half by 2015 the proportion of people who are unable to reach or to afford safe drinking water, and similar effort on sanitation.
