The American Patriot Program, or TAPP, has announced an opportunity for an American hockey stick producer to craft the first ever American Patriot Goalie Stick Award for it’s upcoming award season code named Operation Fire and Ice.
TAPP celebrates the service and honors the sacrifices of combat wounded American veterans. It enters its second season having produced the national level award for combat veterans wounded in combat operations in wars ranging from World War II up to the war in Afghanistan.
A program spokesman from TAPP commented, "winter does not cut our troops and veterans any slack so we should continue to honor our wounded warriors through the winter- and American ice hockey is a fantastic way to do it."
Six American baseball bat manufacturers including the Saint Paul Saints independent professional baseball team produced the award in 2009 and one hockey stick manufacturer has been invited to craft the first ever hockey themed American Patriot Award.
The TAPP team has created a preliminary design for the new hockey themed military award and has displayed its Ice Breaker Lite slide presentation at its program dedicated website www.fireandice.kk5.org. A final design will be released on this Fourth of July.
American hockey stick manufacturers desiring to learn more about this opportunity can contact TAPP’s Chief Military Hockey Liaison John P. Chestna at semperfi1970@
