As Manager of #1 Aquaponics in South Australia, he has consistently displayed the dedication and professionalism required to be among the best of ambassadors for the development of commercial integrated sciences and further job creation through education, strategy development and implementation of best practice. Andrew won a prestigious Fellowship award from the International Specialised Skills Institute in 2008 and has since travelled through North America and Canada on a sabbatical study tour. During his university studies, Andrew studied Aquatic Sciences in the Environmental faculty of Deakin University, Victoria and majored in Aquaculture. He went on to manage the first dedicated barramundi recirculating aquaculture system hatchery in Australia as well as help build Australia’s first aquaculture technology park. He also lectured for 10 yrs at Flinders University, South Australia as a part time specialist lecturer in aquaculture engineering and also sat as an executive on the committee of the Inland Aquaculture Association of South Australia. Andrew also helped develop policies for aquaculture in the Intensive Animal Husbandry Review Committee policy amendment review paper 2002 and is also the principal consultant at Aquaculture Advantage. He has also written numerous articles in the peer review AustAsia aquaculture magazine and the US Growing Edge magazine. Andrew is also a certified Seafood Industry Trainer and Assessor.
Andrew loves to enjoy nature by spending time in the outdoors fishing and travelling with his family when he has a break from his busy schedule.
