March 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Unique to Blueair, the Model 203’s patented HEPASilent™ three stage progressive filter design is like three filters in one.  The result is incredibly clean air since 99.97% of airborne particles 0.1 micron or smaller are removed on its lowest speed setting. Dust, smoke, mould spores, pet dander as well as other impurities are removed, leaving clean, healthy and breathable air that is purified five times an hour for a healthy room environment.  This also helps reduce the affect of allergies, asthma and many other common respiratory conditions.
A change filter indicator attaches to the outside frame of the air cleaner
and tells the user when the filter needs to be changed. Filters typically last at least 6 months.
Combining the best features of electrostatic and mechanical filter technology, the HEPASilent™ filters deliver cleaner air at a faster rate.  Filter efficiency also results in a low noise level from 32 to 56 dB(A), depending onthe speed used, an electrical consumption of 20 Watts at the lowest speed andone of the highest Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) ratings in its class. CADR measures how efficiently air purifiers remove common contaminants and is used by consumers worldwide to make comparisons of similar units before purchase. The CADR rating for the Model 203 is 195m3/hour (115) for smoke, dust and pollen.
An improved fan produces increased airflow of 100 to 220 m3/hour (990 to 2,178 ft3/hour) and higher quality specifications allow for use in all environments including extreme temperatures and humidity levels.
Like all Blueair air purifiers, the Model 203 is Energy Star® qualified which means up to 35% energy savings compared to non-qualified Energy Star® air cleaners.   Other features of the Model 203 include:
•   Beautiful, compact design available in silver and white colors fit any room décor.
•   Near Silent Operation. On its lowest setting, the Model 203 emits less air than a standard desktop computer (29 decibels). Also, specialised materials such as galvanised steel make Blueair the quietest air purifiers on the market.
•   Three separate fan speeds allow users to set to correct setting. Also featured is an easy to use manual control knob.
•   Highest CADR scores in its class: Scored 115 for smoke, dust and pollen.
•   No ozone. The Model 203 emits no ozone and actually reduces ozone levels in the air. In fact, testing shows that ozone concentration in the Model 203 is actually lower than incoming air.
•   Lightweight.  Weighing just 11 kg (24 lb), the unit allows easy movement and positioning about the room for maximum efficiency.
Filter Details
Each unit comes equipped with a standard HEPASilent™ particle filter
made of polypropylene and a small amount of activated carbon which is effective for removing odour, traces of gas as well as harmful airborne particles such as dust, mould spores, bacteria and dust. For maximum filter effectiveness, the Model 203 internal ioniser negatively changes incoming particles, trapping them more effectively. Air is drawn into the unit via the ultra-quiet fan. Airborne particles pass through an ion chambre and are charged to ensure that they adhere effortlessly to Blueair’s progressive three-stage filter. Once captured, the particles will not be released into your environment, even under heavy loading.
