Martin Freeman, Managing Director of ProTen Services took Radon Tee along to the recent Council meeting, where Radon Council President, Dennis Papworth OBE (left) and Chairman, Brian Ahern (right) were pleased to lend their support to the campaign.
The Radon Council is the self-regulatory body for the radon industry in the UK, and its members include specialist remediation contractors and testing laboratories. Meetings are also often attended by representatives from several Universities and professional and public bodies, such as the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Royal Society for Public Health and the Health and Safety Executive.
The Council has recently published updated guidance for specifiers involved in radon remediation.
US non-profit organisation, CanSAR (Cancer Survivors Against Radon) is dedicated to preventing radon-induced lung cancer and saving lives through education and awareness, and is sponsoring the Radon Tee World Trek 2010. The campaign aims to bring social awareness to communities through the power of photos, videos and personal stories.
ProTen Services are taking the Tee on a national tour and will be adding photos to the social media campaign at www.facebook.com/
