All Wake County Public School System High Schools in North Carolina use Total Registration.

The 17 High Schools in the Wake County Public School System in North Carolina use the Total Registration's Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Registration Service offered to register students for the 2010 AP exams.

March 30, 2010 - PRLog -- The AP Coordinators in the County Public School System High Schools in North Carolina will have the administrative workload and anxiety associated with the advanced placement (AP) exam registration process radically reduced in 2010.  Previously, Wake County Public High School staff would have to collect student, exam and payment information and enter the data themselves into spreadsheet or data management software.  The exam data entry process is typically a very time intensive and is potentially error prone.  Further, AP Coordinators would have to prepare reports, rosters and exam orders, requiring tedious additional data processing.

Total Registration’s AP Exam Registration service alleviates the need for school staff to be involved in data entry by providing a platform for students to register themselves for exams.  Each high school is provided a unique website designed with their own color scheme and branding.  Students go to the school’s website to register for AP exams.  All student and exam information is recorded in a database at the time of registration and all exam fees are calculated automatically.

After students have registered, AP Coordinators can log onto their school’s site and generate a broad range of reports and rosters by simply pointing and clicking their mouse.  Since the data capture method improves overall accuracy, schools can also avoid the high cost of ordering AP exams from the College Board that have not been paid for by students or by ordering the wrong number of exams.

In addition to the AP exam registration, Total Registration is able to help Wake County's four IB schools identify students who have exam conflicts between the two programs.  Previously, schools had to hand compare exam rosters between the AP and IB programs to identify students with exam conflicts.  Wake County's AP coordinators may not identify these students at the click of a button and schedule these students with an alternate AP Exam

Schools across the country have used Total Registration’s AP Exam Registration for more than three years.  In 2009 alone, more than 56,000 exams were ordered for more than 30,000 students using the Exam Registration Service.
