Book Reviews:
"Letters From Alcatraz: 40 Years Later" will hold your attention from beginning to end. As C.J., the main character, shares his inner most secrets you feel as if you're reading letters that were not intended for your eyes. Tina Westbrook has created a character that is easy to relate to and transcends time. I will anxiously await the release of the next book in this series!”
“After living through the 60's and experiencing much of what the main character did, Letters From Alcatraz - Forty Years Later transported me right back there! Formatted in a series of emails from the main character to a woman he'd never met, the book captures the "now" and the "then" masterfully. A great read!” - Jay Stafford, Huntington Beach, CA
“Thrilled the way Tina Westbrook presented this story. There were three pages that forced me to put the book down momentary as the words became blurred. Looking through my own tears I am honored and pleasantly surprised with Tina's wonderful writings. Her ability and capability to engineer such a well drafted story with both fictional and true life events was absolutely compelling. This is a wonderful story of a period of the 1960's that everyone should read, especially for those who love San Francisco and Alcatraz Island.” - John Catelli
“I enjoyed reading Letters from Alcatraz: Forty Years Later by Tina Westbrook. This poignant journey by the main character CJ is an honest portrayal. I would certainly recommend this book and I predict only great things to happen for this talented author.”

“Tina brought the characters in her novel "Letters From Alcatraz" to life. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The storyline is so captivating from the beginning and continues to the end. Once I began reading, I found I could not put this book down. Her skill of weaving a story from a by gone era grabs your attention and takes you on a ride with your emotions. Curiosity, laughter, happiness, sadness and tears. From each turn of the page I found myself being drawn further in until I suddenly realized my journey through her story had ended and it left me wanting for more. I am anxiously awaiting for the continuation of this story.” - Becky Luft
