International network, co-location and hosting services provider Linxtelecom today announced the purchase of 100% of the shares of ‘Warsaw DC Sp Z o.o’. With this purchase Linxtelecom acquires the rights to build a 900m² datacenter in the centre of Warsaw. The total amount of available power is 2 times 2.5 MVA. Just as the other new Linxtelecom datacenters, this datacenter will be designed and built according to TIER 3 standards.
This investment is the next step in Linxtelecom’
s continued strategy of complimenting its international backbone with datacentres at key locations in Central & Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.
Jules Delahaije, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Linxtelecom:”
Central & Eastern Europe, in particular Poland, has played and will continue to play an important role as a focal point of our overall business expansion plans. A country comprising 34.4 million people, with a telecommunications market size of more than EUR 10 billion coupled with the emergence of the latest digital technologies in pursuit of Western European standards, Poland, and in particular Warsaw, is a highly conducive market for us”.
This Datacenter is located in the center of Warsaw near the ‘LIM Center’. In order to guarantee uninterrupted network connectivity the datacenter and the ‘LIM’ building will be connected via redundant, diversely routed fibers.
Frank de Frémery, Vice President, Sales and Business Development:
“The combination of the location, high availability of power and the high standard of the design will enable Linxtelecom to serve the high end of the datacenter market. This datacenter is specifically designed for enterprise-class customers who are seeking state of the art facilities for their IT infrastructure and for carriers demanding high quality, reliability and security.”
The launch of the Datacenter is planned in Quarter 3 2010.
