Ten teams of students are competing at full speed for £5000 worth of sporting equipment to be donated by Sweatband.com. The team that generates the most thank you messages on their campaign page for their chosen cause will win the equipment including a 6ft snooker table.
In support of the Sport Relief Weekend this March (19th-21st), the ‘Kings 4 Sport Relief’ team have chosen to thank Sport Relief and its fundraisers for the fantastic work they are doing. Furthermore, with charitable spirit they are planning to donate the equipment to a Sport Relief cause if they win.
The team include three King’s College London students and a pupil of Christ the King Sixth Form College. Inspired by fundraisers all over the UK and the challenges undertaken by celebrities such as Eddie Izzard and Christine Bleakley the King’s team want to give the public a chance to thank these individuals or simply Sport Relief itself in a quick and free step on their campaign page: http://thanksto.com/
Doing so not only shows support for Sport Relief but will also help the King’s team win their personal race for the £5000. The team’s technology-based strategy is based on social networking media including tweeting at UK celebrities and gathering followers on Facebook. So support the young ‘Kings 4 Sport Relief’ online as they race towards the finishing line.
