Chimene Davis, CEO of Suburban Entertainment Group, and Natalie J. Harper, CEO of Afterimage Entertainment, have been working together on and off for several years recently came together as Centurion Motion Picture (CMP). The partners will cultivate each other’s industry and corporate relationships to launch their projects for film, television and new media.
The partners, Davis and Harper are responsible for the long-term growth and vision of the company including the management of CMP’s operational and logistical process to implementing a global strategy for adapting brand assets to the global markets. Davis will define the advertising, marketing, new media and promotions strategy for the entertainment properties created under CMP, and the overall shape and impact the company will have on Media Economics. Harper’s focus is on the comprehensive management of CMP’s projects including R&D, securing of talent, acquisition of intellectual property, and so forth.
Davis worked for one of the hottest production facilities in New York called Tulchin Studio (now Metro Studios) as a producer. Tulchin’s clients where some largest advertising agencies in the world: Young & Rubicam Advertising Agency, J.Walter Thompson Advertising, Grey Advertising, Chiat Day and Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising. Because of Davis’ solid track record Young & Rubicam offered her a position at the company leading both the creative and accountant management team on national fortune 500 company accounts such as Colgate-Palmolive, American Home Foods, Jell-O, Eastman Kodak, Lever Brother, Whitehall and Estee Lauder.
Harper has had her hands in all aspects of the entertainment industry, literally. She has founded several successful entertainment companies. In 1994, Harper was casting and producing theatrical events including: In the Wine Time by Ed Bullins, The Shaggy Wolfman Tales, and The Tempest with Ne’j Productions which then became a management group Ne’j Management, an on-going enterprise. Over time Ne’j played an important role in the careers of several young actors including: Shawn H. Smith (Kangaroo Jack, Boomtown, the 200th episode of ER), Lee Whyms III (Parent Hood, Jamie Fox Show, Nelly’s Bodega, Next Time), Cedric Terrell (Dangerous Minds), and Tico Wells (Five Heartbeats). For a time she pursued a career as an agent in the theatrical and commercial departments of Cavaleri & Associates, Literary and Talent Agency, and then Identity Talent Agency. Shortly after Harper co-founded Afterimage Entertainment.
