PHOENIX - The Arizona Small Business Association (asba) in conjunction with Arizona Small Business Benefits (asbb) is now providing the Arizona Health Card free of charge to all residents of Arizona. The Arizona Health Card offers significant savings of up to 75% on prescription drugs nation wide. In addition, discounts and savings are available for diabetic supplies, lasik surgery, hearing aids, vitamins, teeth whitening, and prescription eyewear.
asba is well known for having the most comprehensive benefits program available to small businesses in the state. asba is the only association in the state to have its own group health plan. asba’s plan is a guarantee issue group insurance plan. Applicants can not be turned down or singled out for a rate increase or cancellation for any reason. Group size is unlimited and is open to groups as small as one.
“We are the only entity in the state that will accept pre-existing conditions and sole proprietors with our CIGNA Group Health Plan”, said asba CEO Donna Davis. “We have so many people tell us how thankful they are this group plan exists, since it is their only option for coverage and provides peace of mind”.
“The Arizona Health Card is a great addition to our benefit offerings and an excellent compliment to any health insurance plan”, said Tom Lockhart, Director of Member Benefits. “It also provides a safety net and real savings to those without coverage.”
The Arizona Health Card program is not an insurance program but a discount plan accepted at leading pharmacies including CVS, Osco and Wal-Mart. “With this challenging economy, asba is doing everything possible to save businesses and families’ money. Every little bit helps when money is tight,” Davis said.
