Chris Claremont - Famed X-men Writer
Famed X-Men author and acclaimed writer Chris Claremont will appear at HOWL Gallery in Fort Myers, FL on March 20th for an informal Meet and Greet and Book Signing Event. Mr. Claremont is best known for his ground breaking and unmatched 17 year run on Marvel Comics Uncanny X-Men title and his still unbroken comic sales record on X-Men #1 in the mid 90's. Mr Claremont's treatment of the X-men title not only revitalized the comic franchise but also recevied wide acclaim for his socie-political minded portrayal of mutant kind as discriminated race in society. His X-men comic stories form the majority of the material used in the recent X-Men movie franchise. In addition he has written comic titles such as the Fantastic Four and Iron Fist as well as several novels over his now epic career.
Chris will be appearing at HOWL Gallery from 6-8pm on Saturday March 20th after the Fort Myers Reading Festival. A small selection of Hardcover Chris Claremont books will be available for purchase and signing at HOWL Gallery during the event. Starbucks, located next door to HOWL Gallery, will be providing free coffee and tea during the event. Admission is free. All ages welcome. Local artist Scott Guelcher's Commemorative Reading Festival painting will also be on display during the event and raffle tickets will be available.
