March 15, 2010 - PRLog -- I’ve tried all kinds of fat loss recipes in the past with very little success. Let’s see now…I’ve tried recipes from Atkins, Zone and also Ovo-Lacto vegetarian diet. I couldn’t stick with the latter because I ‘m crazy about meat and poultry, while the first 2 dietary regimens were largely ineffective.

Sure I lost a few pounds, body mass mostly which was not in line with my actual goal. See, my actual goal was to reduce body fat percentage – not body mass. I wanted to reduce my body fat which was about 22% or so, to around 8%. I wanted visible abs!

Listen, men who want to have their abs revealed should get their body fat down to at least 8% while women, if I recount correctly, should get theirs down to approximately 12%.

Okay so, many fat loss recipes have failed me. What did I do next?

Well, I became a caveman!

See, I discovered another dietary regimen called the Paleolithic diet which is also known as “the caveman diet”.

So, what sort of diet is it?

It’s a nutritional program that closely mimics the diet of Paleolithic era cavemen. Of course, since we live in a modern world, our “Paleo diet” is naturally, a ‘modernized’ version. Those who adopt this diet consume meat, fruits, nuts, veggies, poultry and seafood.

We typically avoid processed sugar, dairy, lentils, grains, preservatives, legumes (green beans included), and other refined foods. That’s why this diet is so healthy!

What’s so healthy about it?

Well, I lost a significant amount of body fat percentage. I’ve been on this diet for more than 6 months and my present body fat level is 11.5%. Not bad but no visible abs yet! This diet also improves my skin complexion and hair texture while also boosting my productivity at work.

What’s your biggest grouse with this diet?

Decent tasting Paleolithic fat loss recipes are rather limited. Most of them are so tasteless! Initially I felt like quitting this rather excellent fat burning diet.
