Our Mission: Produce Art That Produces Change!
Here’s what we know. Everyday artists are coming out of their schools and workspaces seeking to present their ideas to the world. As gallery space becomes more and more limited, and the number of new and emerging artists increases, a dilemma arises. As an artist, how can I find an audience for my work, thereby spreading my message/ideas and finding purpose for my art? We believe artdemandschange.org is a solution!
Art Demands Change is determined to support the arts, while at the same time promoting social consciousness. To achieve this, we partner with some of the most talented artists we can find and make their work available through the prints found on this site. The artists themselves select a set of charities that their work will benefit, and 80% of the proceeds from each print sold through artdemandschange.org goes directly to those selected charities.
For the artist, Art Demands Change is a cooperative in the truest sense of the word. Working together, the artists represented by artdemandschange.org have both the ability to market their work to a global audience of collectors, while at the same time using their art to benefit a wide rage of charities and organizations. We help artists to help make a difference!
We Strive To:
1) Provide purpose for our artists by giving them a platform to expose their art and ideas to a vast audience, and that they can use to allow their art to make a direct change in the world.
2) Create an outlet for audiences to collect new and interesting art prints, while using their purchases as donations to actively benefit charitable organizations.
We believe it’s time for artists to free themselves from the necessity to monetize their creativity. We believe it’s time for artists to be able to free themselves from the confines of the “art market,” as it currently stands, and show the world that their work has purpose. We believe it’s time for art to be accessible to the hands of the masses, free from overinflated gallery markups and profit motives. We believe art can change the world.
