Who's that? That's Kamil Ali.
Now he has become, the only Pakistani:
Who interviewed Al Ries (The co-father of Positioning)
Who's recommended by Al Ries.
Who launched Pakistan's only online DVD rental company, HitBox.
Who's blogging for saving brands.
And I'm the only (one) Pakistani featured in world's top marketing guru, Seth Godin's book, Linchpin.
Plus he's also responsible for developing personal brands. Recently, he worked for a Pakistani band, The Band 56ix. He positioned this band as "The only versatile vocalist in Pakistan".
Kamil writes in his article, "The Band 56ix: How marketing works for musical bands?":
"Mostly, the vocalists or bands are good at a niche in an existing category as the ..music is already defined, they just have to innovate it and find their own chunk of a pie, but these vocalist has to own a word as a specialists"
He stresses that developing brand name is a sophisticated job. "The word is the first thing that makes the word transfer from one mouth to another, to spread. Developing brand name required sophistication. Always work on the brand name. It’s a specialized job. Don’t gather four friends in a room to decide a name what they like."
