GoldenNetworking.com's Hedge Funds Leaders Forum 2010, "Generating Alpha in Challenging Times" (http://www.HedgeFundsLeadersForum.com)
The Wall Street Journal reported, "Pierre-Henri Flamand, a 39-year old who has run Goldman Sachs Principal Strategies for roughly three years, will remain at Goldman for the next few months to transition the role to a manager currently on the hedge fund team, a spokeswoman confirmed. It is unknown if Mr. Flamand, a 15-year veteran of the firm, will launch his hedge fund in London or elsewhere. The hedge fund performed well last year, according to Goldman's 10-K regulatory filing, stating 'results in principal strategies were positive compared with losses in 2008.' The year 2009 was an 'environment characterized by a significant increase in global equity prices, favorable market opportunities and a significant decline in volatility levels,' the filing stated".
