March 13, 2010 - PRLog -- The publishing industry is on the cusps of the future. Ebooks threaten the current business model of most major publishing houses. With amazon.com’s kindle, Apple’s Ipad, a near dozen other websites and hardware makers providing ebooks and readers, a change is coming.

“The writing is on the wall,” says Bronx Village Publisher’s M. Abdul-Malik. “The major publishers are trying to fight the trend. Most people own either a smart phone, ebook reader or have access to a computer. There’s a generation of people who read more text messages and email than they do books and newspapers combined.  You’d have to be a fool not to want to provide content for them.”

The bottom line: Ebooks are inexpensive to produce and can be interactive, they can be tied to websites like never before. Bronx Village Publisher’s newest book Balanced Nature is tied to the website http://balancednature.com/. All the information in this non fiction title is available through the website. The ebook sums it all up in a convenient package.
