Dr. Dimitri Perdikis Of West Hartford Donates Free Dental Care To Mission Of Mercy

West Hartford, CT — On Saturday, March 13th at the Aetna office complex in Middletown, Dr. Dimitri Perdikis of West Hartford and dentists from across the state volunteered to help thousands of adults and children in need of dental treatments.

March 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Mission of Mercy is a national program that has provided nearly $50 million dollars of free services to more than 100,000 patients since 2000. It’s operated in Connecticut by the Connecticut Foundation for Dental Outreach in collaboration with the Connecticut State Dental Association. According to Dr. Michael Perl, co-chairman of Connecticut Mission of Mercy, Connecticut has an estimated one million citizens without dental insurance.  Now in its third year, the Connecticut efforts have helped close to 3000 patients receiving nearly $1.4 million dollars of treatment. Services include cleanings, fluoride treatments, digital X-rays, fillings, extractions, root canals and interim partial dentures.

The clinic was funded by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, a community foundation for the 29 town Greater Hartford region. For more information about the foundation, visit http://www.hfpg.org.

This is the second year Dr. Dimitri Perdikis of West Hartford and his staff have volunteered to work with this organization. “The numbers of people in need are increasing. These are difficult times. Individuals and families are struggling more than ever.
