The TV campaign was designed by advertising agency Koala and features magician Paul Daniels and wife Debbie McGee. The advertisement first aired on March 1 on freeview and cable channels.
Mazuma Mobile managing director Charlo Carabott (picured) said: “Our earlier ads have been successful in educating the public on the value of recycling mobile phones, which was until recently a new concept and explained the six easy steps to recycling mobile phones with Mazuma.
“Our new magic-themed campaign is all about raising the brand to a completely different level while reinforcing the message that there is cash to be made from mobile phones, in a creative and fun way that we believe consumers will love. We were really pleased to be able to work with Paul and Debbie who impart their tongue-in-cheek humour to the ad and were the perfect match for our own loveable Maz character.”
Mazuma has paid out £50 million to its customers since launch in 2007, which it claims is more than the amount its competitors have paid.
Carabott said: “We have over taken all our competitors in terms of cash payouts and we will be looking to set ourselves another milestone.”
